About Me
THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY
Daniela Guerrero is a Venezuelan, Asheville-based film wedding photographer specializing in hybrid digital and film photography, including 35mm, medium format, and large format film. As one of the only photographers in the region offering large format film for weddings, her work brings an unparalleled level of depth, detail, and intentionality to each moment. Blending emotive documentary storytelling with refined editorial direction, she creates imagery that feels both cinematic and deeply personal, inspired by the natural light and landscapes of the Blue Ridge Mountains and destinations worldwide. Her approach is rooted in presence, connection, and artistry, ideal for couples seeking a timeless yet intentional wedding experience.
"My approach is a mix of candid with playful direction and not conventional, because I believe the most powerful images are the ones that hold truth. I love exploring creative ways to make art together working on concepts and ideas beyond the unposed, using a both digital and film so your gallery carries not only heartfelt storytelling but also a touch of editorial refinement. Each frame is an invitation: to feel, to remember, and to return to the essence of what matters most".

FINE ART WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WITH A TOUCH OF editorial

My Philosophy
“Presence is the greatest gift we can offer.”
My role is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and entirely yourself. Years of documenting genuine human connection have taught me that the most striking images aren't staged, they are a collaboration between your story and harmonious vision. I am fueled by the "love notes" left behind after a session, but more importantly, by the lasting connections I maintain with everyone I document.
Accolades & Features
Daniela Guerrero’s work has been voted best of Asheville and is internationally recognized and featured in premier publications including Vogue, Southern Living, and CNN. Her editorial perspective is trusted by Lens Culture, Looks Like Film, and Zola.

A warm day in every way and every angle. With the sweetest glances and including their fur baby.
We celebrated a warm early fall day at @eventsathighlandbrewing filled with the most vibrant energy. They love deep and joyfully and it showed in every moment as they cherished every second to the fullest.
Cheers to you both and to the beautiful memories created ! 🥂
Asheville Wedding Photographer • Documentary & Film
I get asked often about the difference between 35mm and medium format film, and why I like to incorporate both when documenting a wedding day.
There are technical differences of course, the size of the negative, the depth, the way light renders on film but beyond that, medium format has a certain presence to it and each photograph carries small imperfections that make it feel deeply human.
Digital photography has evolved to near perfection (which has its place on a wedding day), I still find myself drawn back to film, for the same reason we return to old family albums. There’s something in the texture, the irregularities, the evidence of the hand behind the craft. And somehow, those small imperfections are exactly what make the moment feel timeless.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to document weddings across some of the most beautiful spaces. Each space holds its own light and rhythm… and film allows me to respond to it with that same adaptability.

Find yourself someone you can happy dance with ••
When I say I teared up watching this happen, I truly mean it.
Moments like these remind me how lucky I am, not only to be the one capturing them, but simply to be a human witnessing lives change in the most beautiful way.
Isaac’s proposal to Uma at the Biltmore Estate was full of joy, and the sweetest unscripted happy dance. They were completely wrapped up in the moment, feeling every emotion and celebrating in the most genuine way. It was impossible not to smile behind the camera.
This reaction will live in my memory for a long time.
Isaac & Uma, thank you for letting me be part of such a meaningful moment. Cheers to the beginning of your next chapter. ✨

A beautiful, intimate day at @_castleladyhawke covered in soft light and soft greens, the clouds made an appearance adding to a romantic and moody atmosphere, and they celebrated their love playfully in every corner. Cheers to them and to this beautiful day ! 🥂

We are not foreign to the fact that we have created an environment where we are surrounded by more images than at any other time in human history. In a world that celebrates endless options, limitation becomes radical. Limitation forces us into presence.
This is why so many image makers (myself included) return to film not out of nostalgia, but because it restores meaning to the act of making. It becomes a ritual. This has been a deeply important part of my practice outside of the wedding work and comercial work I create, and I feel more now than ever, the importance of honoring this approach.
I’m a creature of ritual. I love my slow morning coffee. I love easing into a space before pressing the shutter. I love organizing and cleaning my workspace before entering a creative flow. I love going on photo walks where sometimes I don’t take a photograph, but I take something that will influence one later.
There is ritual in this kind of making, and sometimes the ritual is the work.
May we never forget to nurture those rituals, with honesty and integrity and be more influenced by what we find within than by the sea of trends we are encouraged to follow.
